CohortLab is a coordination platform for group testing rounds. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account data: authentication identifiers (via Clerk) and your username (if you set one).
  • Group participation data: group membership, roles (member/mod/leader/shipper), votes/polls, and stage-related activity.
  • Chat content: messages you post inside group chats.
  • Shipping coordination: details shared for shipping logistics.
  • Payments: purchase metadata needed to grant access. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; CohortLab does not store full payment card numbers.
  • Operational data: basic logs needed to run and secure the service.

How we use data

  • Provide the service (groups, polls, chat, shipping coordination, results publishing).
  • Prevent abuse and keep the platform secure.
  • Support billing/entitlements.
  • Improve reliability and user experience.

Sharing

We share data with service providers that help us operate CohortLab (for example: authentication and payment processing). We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices

  • Do not post sensitive personal information in chat.
  • You can choose what you share inside groups.
