CohortLab is a coordination platform for group testing rounds. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account data: authentication identifiers (via Clerk) and your username (if you set one).
- Group participation data: group membership, roles (member/mod/leader/shipper), votes/polls, and stage-related activity.
- Chat content: messages you post inside group chats.
- Shipping coordination: details shared for shipping logistics.
- Payments: purchase metadata needed to grant access. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; CohortLab does not store full payment card numbers.
- Operational data: basic logs needed to run and secure the service.
How we use data
- Provide the service (groups, polls, chat, shipping coordination, results publishing).
- Prevent abuse and keep the platform secure.
- Support billing/entitlements.
- Improve reliability and user experience.
Sharing
We share data with service providers that help us operate CohortLab (for example: authentication and payment processing). We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
- Do not post sensitive personal information in chat.
- You can choose what you share inside groups.
